Chinatown NYC is one of nine Chinatown neighborhoods in New York City, and one of twelve in the New York metropolitan area, which has the largest ethnic Chinese population outside of Asia. Chinatown NYC is home to the oldest Chinese temple on the east coast of the United States, the Temple Mahayana, as well as the Museum of Chinese in America, which showcases the history and culture of Chinese Americans.
