History of HasinAhmed.org

To innovate, one must dedicate time to self-reinvention. Over the past decade, I’ve undergone five personal transformations. Explore this journey interactively at hasinahmed.org’s evolution journal.

Hasin 1.0 – I am on the internet 🌎

Shipped Date: August 2013
During my internship at a United Nations office in the summer of 2013, I was introduced to the world of web development and content management systems (CMS), with a focus on Joomla and Drupal. This experience led me to thoroughly investigate various CMS options for creating my first website. I concluded that utilizing a platform like WordPress would enable me to develop a strong online presence without requiring extensive coding or programming skills.

Hasin 2.0 – Loss of identity 😕

Shipped Date: September 2015
In 2015, I found myself at a crossroads. As I navigated the beginnings of a tech career in data analysis and worked toward a master’s in economics, the vision of my future self was still hazy. In this period of uncertainty, I chose to wipe the slate clean online, leaving only a minimalist landing page as I pondered the direction of my next steps.

Hasin 3.0 – A newfound sense of identity 🎉

Shipped Date: August 2016
In early 2016, as I approached the end of my grad school journey, I embraced my passion for design. To stand out, I created a portfolio that was more than just a display of my work; it was an interactive, playful experience led by “Mr. Unemployed,” a digital avatar that humorously showcased my readiness for new career opportunities.

Hasin 4.0 – Failures leading to reinvention 🤔

Shipped Date: January 2020
By 2020, I had gained diverse experience as a designer, collaborating with major corporations, startups, freelancing, became a published researcher, and even venturing into my own startups internationally, albeit with mostly failures. In essence, these experiences enriched my understanding of life and self, prompting me to seek a fresh platform to express my journey and my unique approach to product design.

Hasin 5.0 – Embracing the evolving self 🧘‍♂️

Shipped Date: March 2024
As of 2024, my professional identity has evolved beyond that of a product designer. I’ve taken on high-stakes leadership positions in New York’s startup scene—earning a few grey hairs in the process—expanded into product management and marketing, shipped product-level code, honed my skills as a documentary photographer, dedicated myself to education as a professor, built new relationships, and published my creative endeavors online, such as my electronic tunes. This juncture seems fitting to unveil a new personal brand that embraces both my achievements and the lessons learned from my setbacks.
