Standing high above Kobe on Mount Rokko offers a sweeping vantage point over Japan’s iconic port city. Looking across the dense urban sprawl down to the deep blue waters of Kobe Bay, you can trace the bustling harbour docks, container terminals, and cargo ships navigating Osaka Bay. The contrast between the Rokko mountain range behind you and the expansive coastal skyline ahead is breathtaking. On clear days, the horizon stretches far past the artificial islands toward Kansai.
