Tennōji Temple is a peaceful and serene place in the midst of the bustling city of Tokyo. It is surrounded by Yanaka Cemetery, which used to be part of the temple grounds. You can see the giant bronze Buddha, known as Tennoji Daibutsu, that survived the civil war and the fire that destroyed much of the temple.
