Sensō-ji Buddist Temple

Sensoji Temple is the oldest and most visited Buddhist temple in Tokyo, dating back to 645 AD. The temple’s entrance is marked by the iconic Kaminarimon (Thunder Gate), which features a giant red lantern and two guardian statues. The temple is dedicated to Kannon, the goddess of mercy, who is said to have appeared in a statue fished out of the Sumida River by two brothers.

সেনসোজি মন্দির হল টোকিওর প্রাচীনতম এবং সবচেয়ে বেশি পরিদর্শন করা বৌদ্ধ মন্দির, যা 645 খ্রিস্টাব্দের। মন্দিরের প্রবেশদ্বারটি আইকনিক কামিনারিমন (থান্ডার গেট) দ্বারা চিহ্নিত করা হয়েছে, যেখানে একটি বিশাল লাল লণ্ঠন এবং দুটি অভিভাবক মূর্তি রয়েছে। মন্দিরটি করুণার দেবী কাননকে উত্সর্গীকৃত, যিনি দুই ভাইয়ের দ্বারা সুমিদা নদী থেকে মাছ ধরা একটি মূর্তির মধ্যে আবির্ভূত হয়েছিলেন বলে জানা যায়।
El templo Sensoji es el templo budista más antiguo y visitado de Tokio y data del año 645 d.C. La entrada al templo está marcada por la icónica Kaminarimon (Puerta del Trueno), que presenta una linterna roja gigante y dos estatuas de guardianes. El templo está dedicado a Kannon, la diosa de la misericordia, de quien se dice que apareció en una estatua extraída del río Sumida por dos hermanos.
